Microwave Leakage Detectors
About Microwave Leakage Detectors
When PAT testing, it is good practice to use a microwave leakage detector to examine the level of radiation being given off by a microwave oven. Excessive levels of radiation can show problems with the microwave and make it hazardous to use, making these detectors an essential for safety in the workplace.
To use, a cup of water must be placed inside the microwave while it is switched on. The microwave leakage detector should then be scanned over the entirety of the microwave oven and any readings that are detected that are outside the norm will be shown via a flashing light or noise indicators.
