FLIR E6 Thermal Camera Details
Need to measure temperature in an environment? The FLIR E6 captures images with high detail, making it easy to spot even minor differences in temperature.
To gain the highest level of detail possible the FLIR E6 includes built-in MSX technology, a unique thermal imaging mode that actively blends together real digital images with thermal images. This happens in real time, enhancing the level of detail on each thermal image as the camera is moved.
The difference between standard and MSX modes can be seen by quickly switching between the two functions. Whereas standard thermal images can be blurry and hard to make out, MSX quality images allow the user to see fine details including the edges of components, text on objects and can even be used to see through certain types of glass!
Images are further enhanced by the E6's built-in 160 x 120 pixel detector and high thermal sensitivity of just 0.06 degrees C. Both of these parameters combine together to create high quality thermal images that are extremely accurate (these can be viewed back either on the on-board thumbnail gallery or alternatively can be downloaded to a PC).
To make sure capturing images is as simple as possible, the FLIR E6 is simple to operate and pistol-shaped. This means capturing images is performed by squeezing the trigger on the back of the device while all additional functions can be adjusted using the interface on the front of the camera. A large size LCD screen also makes it easy to track changes in temperature.
