The Protective Equipotential Bonding (PEB 1) course, formerly known as Mains Equipotential Bonding MEB, has been designed for those involved in the installation and re-location of gas meters and pipe work, and runs in conjunction with Logic.
Providing successful candidates with the skills and knowledge to extend or repair a Protective Bonding Conductor, this course is ideal if you are an electrician, heating engineer or a plumber who needs to learn competency in PEB installation.
In order to ensure compliance with the BS7671 2008 regulations, gas/plumbing work must be carried out to a safe standard and the Gas Safety Regulation 18 states that PEB should be installed by a competent person.
This course has been designed to enable candidates to become competent in the installation, extension or repair of protective equipotential bonding systems and therefore comply with all safety regulations for this industry.
Consisting of both practical and classroom based work, this course covers;
• Legislation and standards, and the importance of ensuring these standards are met
• Electrical supply system types and the importance of ensuring full knowledge of the system
• What bonding cctually is and how it is used for PEB applications
• Safe isolation and extending in a way that ensures safety regulations are met and are carried out to a professional standard
• The testing of the PEB System, how to carry it out and what issues to look for

The assessment for this course consists of both practical and written examinations which candidates are required to pass before successful completion can be awarded.

Successful candidates will receive a certificate from Logic and a certificate of attendance from PASS.
