Metrel 30m Extension Lead
The Metrel 30 Meter Extension Lead with 4mm plug for use with all Insulation Testers and Multifunction Testers. Ideal for testing circuits such as light fittings and ceiling roses where a long wander lead is required. The Metrel 50m Wander Lead comes with it's own crocodile clip.

The Metrel Extension Lead Reel has 30 meters of cable terminated with a 4mm plug which and a 4mm socket in the front of the reel. This r2 extension lead is an essential accessory. It is a handy way to test for Earth Bond Continuity as well as for R2 measurements.

How does the Metrel Wander Lead work?
First, record the resistance of the test lead (or use the auto null facility zero on the Installation Tester). Connect the crocodile clip to the 4mm plug of the Metrel 30 metre Extension Lead and connect it to the earth at the DB. Unwind however much cable you need from the Wander Test Lead and connect the Installation Tester/Continuity Tester to the extension reel 4mm port. One end of the Earth Bonding should be disconnected to avoid parallel earths.
