The Kewtech RB1 has been designed to replace pigmy filament bulbs in Drummond voltage detectors. As a Drummond lamp bulb replacement, the pigmy bulb indication works by using various intensities of brightness through a system of differing coloured LEDs to highlight the various voltage ratings.
This John Drummond replacement bulb has been designed for use in conjunction with a 2000 Ω resistor and a special high integrity resistor which is included with each RB1 bulb replacement. PAT-Services highly recommend your drummond test lamp should be used with a proving unit.
To fit a new Kewtech RB1 Voltage Indication Test Lamp;
• Remove the existing pigmy lamp from the tester by unscrewing the cap and removing the filament lamp
• Replace with the RB1 LED bulb and screw firmly into position before replacing the cap
• Replace the in series resistor by unscrewing the probe tip and withdrawing the fuse and resistor. Replace the standard internal resistor with the special 2000Ω version that comes with Kewtech RB1 Bulb.
• Check that the fuse is 500mA F 600V rated before reassembling.
