The one day Introduction to Thermography course gives an overview of FLIR cameras and their practical applications.
The day of infrared training covers a basic overview of principles and concepts and includes; Emissivity, T Reflected, Infrared Radiation, Visible Light and applications. A demonstration of the practical use of systems and software for thermal measurements and analysis of images will also be covered. Plenty of time for practical thermal imaging practice will be allowed to ensure ultimate understanding.
Candidates will be presented with an overview of reporting software versions showing functionality and post reporting capability with a few thermal imaging training exercises for students to complete.
The course covers the following subjects:
• Applications, such as, where can infrared cameras be used and their use in;
- Condition Monitoring
- Building
• Emissivity, Image interpretation, environment including, Reflected Apparent Temperature
- Thermal vs Visual
• What do you measure at a given distance (measurement resolution)?
• Camera operational Overview
- Focus
- Image composition
- Thermal Tuning
- Setting object parameters
• Image transfer with Quickview & Basic Reporter functions
